# Difference Between Crafting Materials And Gear

Players will see these two icons. Crafting material is what we will deduct from players’ inventory once they have successfully crafted a Gear, hence a **hammer**! Players can upgrade for greater perks with Gear, so they will see an **upward arrow**.
